At the time, Brad was the quarterback for the Nicholls football team. Jonie joined the Untouchables’ Flag Football Team. She was also very active in Peer Assistance. Brad pledged Phi Beta Sigma, Incorporated Fraternity in Spring, 2000 and Jonie pledged Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in Spring, 1999. Originally enrolled in the Nursing Program, Brad later changed his major to Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. Jonie majored in Sociology with a minor in Legal Assistance. They both graduated from Nicholls in May, 2001. Brad and Jonie dated for eight years prior to being married on June 17, 2005. From their union, came two beautiful daughters, Jaylah (11) and Brasia (7). Brad is now a high school teacher and a football/track coach in the St. James Parish School System at Lutcher High School. onie is a program manager with Louisiana Workforce Commission. They have been happily married for thirteen years and currently reside in Prairieville, Louisiana.
