Melissa and Benjamin Duet met through mutual friends during Ben’s last year at Nicholls State University. After talking for a few months, they discovered that they were from the same area and that their dads attended high school together. For their first date, Ben picked up Melissa at the Nicholls Worth office where she was working at the time. They have been together ever since.
Much of Ben and Melissa’s relationship was formed over their love of New Orleans and many New Orleans Saints games. They chose the city as their wedding destination and married on November 8, 2014. Ben and Melissa now live in Raceland and love traveling, cooking, and playing with our chocolate lab, Darius. Melissa is a middle school English teacher and Ben works in New Orleans as a university bursar.
